BitTorrent + RSS: the morning media has arrived

How about a serving of your favorite band’s new releases at breakfast?

Andrew Grumet
experiments
with a combination RSS 2.0 enclosures and BitTorrent, to trigger automatic downloads of BMO (Big Media Objects) based on RSS subscriptions (Wired has some words as well).

Way cool, know what I’m sayin?

One Response to BitTorrent + RSS: the morning media has arrived

  1. Interesting idea. Not later than last week-end, I was thinking about using Cocoon to produce RSS feeds for “popular” BitTorrent sites.

Now I don’t think fully automatic download is a good thing, as you may not want to download all what’s provided by the RSS feed, which may fill your HD with useless junk ;-)
