Microsoft Eiger and Moench – courting someone, maybe?

Many news sites are reporting on Microsoft developing two “Server Centric Computing Clients” codenamed Eiger and Moench.

As my government is one of the few around here who has not made much committment to non-Microsoft software, I can’t help making mental connections here: Eiger and Moench are two well-known Swiss mountains, well visible from our Parliament’s terrace.

Who could resist having computers named after two big pieces of our national heritage all around the place?

Let’s hope my gov will resist ;-)

Linking to Google is not always so helpfull, now the first site on google is this one ;-)

But I have a short look the requirements and these are very low. So I think M$ create this System to fight against project with linux terminals in the part of the world in which hardware is expensiv and the Incoming is low.

It sounds like a good idea to me -sorry swiss type but I am more than a mountain!!
